Evans Consulting Services aims to maintain our high level of quality IT solutions for existing clients and we seek to deliver a high level of quality for new ones. Our rich history shows ECS’ dedication and commitment to our clients in providing the best IT solutions and evolving with all dynamic IT needs.
In 1997, Anthony Evans and his colleagues founded Innovative Technologies & Designs, Inc. (ITD). He and his partners jumped into the IT business, drawing on their prior background in the field. ITD started by helping large corporations and established workstations on the Michigan House of Representatives floor. These workstations helped in gathering and reporting data to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the legislation team.
In 1999, ITD combined efforts with Detroit Edison’s (now DTE Energy) marketing department to celebrate Black History Month in a historical, content-rich experience. The resulting effort was the Powerzone, an interactive venture that provided information about black leaders and offered students a chance to tour photos and history. In the same year, a project was conducted for the Romulus School for a Cisco switch replacement to ensure everything was functioning safely and properly.
Innovative Technologies & Designs decided to close in 2000 to reform the company with an increased range of services and abilities to evolve with IT issues. Anthony Evans formed Evans Consulting Services, LLC (ECS), where he assembled a new team of IT professionals dedicated to improving IT practices. ECS has spent years developing a substantial partnership network to deliver services to our clients, eliminating the need for customers to handle day-to-day project work.
ECS has been proud to be the leader on special IT projects, including:
- Developing audio, visual, and broadcast solutions for annual meetings
- Upgrading and migrating phone systems to VoIP
- Proactively managing customer device inventory
- Consistently monitoring network security
- Implementing backup procedures and business continuity protocols
This vast network allowed ECS to participate in significant projects such as E-rate cabling for Detroit Public School Clarke Elementary in 2001.
Amongst those networks, ECS established joint ventures with ComSynergy and ECS Kahn, during the 2000s. Evans Consulting Services and Albert Kahn& Associates formed ECS Kahn to provide low-voltage cabling services for Detroit Casino Hotel during its construction.
Evans Consulting Services has continued to provide its customers with top-quality, problem-solving services from recommendations for network upgrades, servers, and end-user devices to provide day-to-day IT support. Cybersecurity and email are focal points to ensure customer systems are always safe, and their staff is trained to spot cybersecurity threats.
For the last ten years, refining ECS to be solution-oriented has been a priority for senior management. ECS continues to investigate how to provide the best services to clients and assesses the organization to identify key areas for improvement in supporting our clients’ success.
Our goal is to invest in systems to improve efficiency, and improve how we deliver services for our customers. Many businesses take a step back in order to see how they are doing and focus on their core beliefs in this decision period.
ECS core values and culture are built upon:
- Committing to Excellence
- Responsibly Self-managed
- Solutions-focused
- Proactive Mindset
- Service Transparency
- Building Lifelong Customers
As we build on this culture, ECS is reinventing itself as ITMedics, the premier source for technical diagnostics in the healthcare, automotive, and construction businesses. We remain a minority-owned business and maintain our SBA 8(a) accreditation to support local, state, and national government agencies.
